• Common marmosets are tiny primates with tufty white ear tufts that make them look permanently surprised!
• They have special teeth that let them gnaw into tree bark to drink sap and gum, a favorite treat.
• Marmosets communicate with high-pitched chirps, trills, and even ultrasonic calls.
• Unlike most primates, they often give birth to twins.

Though currently widespread, common marmosets face threats from habitat destruction and the illegal pet trade. Their adaptability is impressive, but not unlimited, protecting their forest homes remains essential.
