The addax is one of the world’s most desert-adapted antelopes.
They can go months without drinking, surviving on moisture from plants.
Their coat changes colour with the seasons, darker in winter, lighter in summer.

Addax are Critically Endangered, with fewer than 100 remaining in the wild. Emirates Park Zoo contributes to global conservation awareness and participates in the long-term preservation of this rare desert species.
