Scientific Name: Giraffa camelopardalis reticulata

• Reticulated giraffes have the most striking coat pattern of all giraffe subspecies, with sharp, net-like lines.
• Their long tongues, up to 45 cm, are dark to protect them from sunburn.
• They only sleep for short bursts, sometimes just 5 minutes at a time!
