Reticulated pythons are slow-moving snakes but are excellent swimmers. They can often be seen hanging around bodies of water as they find it to be the best location for hunting their prey which comes to the water to drink.
They are known to occupy areas which tend to have a source of water present or nearby. This allows for better movement because of its large size.
EVERY SPECIES COUNT
Reticulated Pythons face threats from habitat destruction, illegal hunting, and collection for the skin and exotic pet trades. Although international trade is regulated to help prevent overexploitation, wild populations can still be affected by human activities and loss of suitable habitat throughout parts of their natural range
