Elephant Poo Paper
Emirates Park Zoo is excited to introduce elephant poo paper, a unique and eco-friendly initiative that highlights our commitment to environmental stewardship. By converting elephant dung—naturally rich in cellulose fibres—into sustainable paper, we create a green alternative to conventional paper while reducing waste and showcasing our innovative approach to sustainability.
As part of our outreach efforts, we engage young minds in the process through hands-on workshops. These sessions provide young participants with an opportunity to learn about the importance of recycling and to see the transformation of elephant dung into usable paper.
Through this interactive experience, we hope to foster a sense of environmental responsibility in future generations and encourage creative thinking around sustainable practices. By crafting poo paper themselves, children gain an enjoyable, memorable insight into how small actions can collectively make a big difference for our planet.
