Emirates Park Zoo and Resort (EPZR) is proud to be a member of the International Zoo Educators Association (IZEA). As a member of this prestigious global network, EPZR is committed to advancing the role of zoos and aquariums in environmental education, conservation, and sustainability. Through our affiliation with IZEA, we have access to cutting-edge educational resources, professional development opportunities, and a platform to collaborate with like-minded institutions worldwide.
Commitment to Conservation Education
At EPZR, we believe that education is key to fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of wildlife and their habitats. Our membership in IZEA enhances our ability to deliver impactful educational programs that inspire our visitors to take action for the conservation of our planet's biodiversity. We continually strive to incorporate best practices in zoo education, leveraging the collective knowledge and experience of the global zoo education community.
A Global Collaboration
Through IZEA and the JEP, we actively participate in international conferences, workshops, and forums, where we share our successes and learn from the experiences of others. This collaboration helps us to innovate and improve our educational offerings, ensuring that we remain at the forefront of conservation education.
Our Dedication to Making a Difference
Emirates Park Zoo and Resort is dedicated to making a positive difference in the world, and our involvement with the International Zoo Educators Association and the Job Experience Program is a testament to our commitment to education, conservation, and global cooperation.
Hosting the Job Experience Program 2024-2025
In 2024-2025, EPZR is honored to be one of the zoos hosting the Job Experience Program (JEP) organized by the IZEA. This program will take place over three time periods:
- 4 November 2024 to 17 November 2024
- 2 December 2024 to 15 December 2024
- 6 January 2025 to 19 January 2025
The primary reason for EPZR to be a host is to promote global conservation education and awareness. By providing hands-on experience and training to participants, the zoo fosters the development of future conservation leaders, supports ongoing research, and enhances community engagement. This program strengthens the zoo’s reputation as a leader in conservation efforts, encourages the exchange of innovative ideas, and extends its educational impact to a broader audience, thereby contributing significantly to wildlife conservation and sustainable practices.
